Both characters are driven by an Instinct\u2014a powerful motivation that compels them to seek each other out. This Instinct evolves throughout the story and ultimately comes into play during the game&#8217;s epilogue. Scars represent both the physical wounds suffered during the journey and the emotional wounds carried from the past. Spells are dangerous magical powers available to both characters.
