The Gate of the Fire Demons is a dungeon synth music cassette about a party’s quest to desperately call for help from a mysterious woman.
Kobold is back: it’s dungeon-crawling time! With this new album, the now famous little dog-faced humanoid takes us far to the East, exploring melodies and arrangements with a vaguely Middle Eastern tone. “The Gate of the Fire Demons” recounts the new mission of the party we have come to know in previous adventures, consisting of the male warrior Viktor, the male warrior Bloodwyn, the female cleric Sarohma, the female elf Garandir, the male thief Fir, and the male mage Zothen.
The six will have to face the desperate plea for help from a mysterious woman: who is she? Does the portal she says she must close at all costs really exist? Is Aisha – that’s the name of the mysterious character – really telling the truth or is she leading us into a deadly trap, into the dark depths of this dangerous dungeon infested with salamanders, demons and other terrible monsters?
The Magic of Kobold: Retro Music and Heroic Dungeon-Crawling.
The musical formula of Kobold remains unchanged over the years, contaminating itself with different atmospheres and settings, but leaving the magic of the early albums intact. Sounds inspired by 8- and 16-bit video games, simple but masterful arrangements, and a taste for memorable melodies are the perfect mix for those who love the fantasy atmospheres of the 1980s. The small booklet, map and thirteen tracks of “The Gate of the Fire Demons” offer you one of the most exciting and engaging classic dungeon-crawling experiences ever.
Light your flashlights and prepare to enter the darkness–the adventure begins!
