Welcome to the new album by Radagast, titled “Yesta.”
The notes emerge like whispers from the depths of the earth: ethereal synthesizers pulse like glowing roots, cavernous drones echo the vast fungal subconscious, and distant choirs seem to murmur from a verdant afterlife.
There is no aggression, only a subtle, cyclical restlessness that evokes growth and decay as two faces of the same silent divinity.
The songs accompany Hrein’s journey across the threshold between life and decay, where Bloom does not claim him, but judges him, instructs him, and ultimately welcomes him. Where others rot, he is transformed: veins entwined with mycelium, bones carved into living wood, and blood dripping like resin. Spores become breath, and the body is reborn as a semi-divine relic.
In the album’s more meditative passages, the presence of the vast underground ocean can be felt—the wordless consciousness of the earth itself: growth, hunger, and decay. In its brighter movements, fields of healing mushrooms emerge, along with rings of luminescent fungi that restore the poisoned land.
Yesta is pure cosmic dungeon synth—the soundtrack to a myth yet to be told: a form of cosmic druidism on the edge of horror, a mystical ecology that transforms corruption into new life.
