“I dream of the day when they will emerge from the billows and clutch in their immense claws the remnants of insignificant humanity, worn down by wars…the day when the lands will sink and the dark ocean floor will rise to the surface in universal pandemonium.”
Cthulhu Bay is a new and original approach to rediscovering the Cthulhu Mythos, created by H.P. Lovecraft, with a layout inspired by the old pulp horror magazines Weird Tales.
Contained in this investigative role-playing game, in ‘zine format, are all the simple rules and innovative mechanics that will allow you to experience firsthand its investigations, called Tales, and Unravel the Mystery behind them.
In Cthulhu Bay there are no predetermined endings, and it is you, by connecting the Clues collected during the game, who will narrate your personal version of events and the epilogue of a Tale.
Inside the Cthulhu Bay manual you will find:
- All the rules needed to play the game
- A section that will teach you how to conduct a game session.
- Four ready-to-play Tales that will take you from the ice of Greenland in the 1930s to a mysterious unknown planet, from a village on the edge of Karelia in the 1600s to a monastery in the Middle Ages to investigate a bloody death.
