“I dream of the day when they will emerge from the waves and clasp the remnants of insignificant humanity—worn down by wars—in their immense claws… the day when the lands will sink and the dark depths of the ocean will rise to the surface, amid universal pandemonium.”

Cthulhu Bay is a fresh and original take on the Cthulhu Mythos, created by H.P. Lovecraft, with a layout inspired by the old Weird Tales pulp horror magazines.

This investigative role-playing game, presented in “zine” format, contains all the simple rules and innovative mechanics that will allow you to experience its investigations—called “Stories”—firsthand and to Unravel the Mystery behind them.

In Cthulhu Bay, there are no predetermined endings, and it will be up to you—by piecing together the clues you’ve gathered throughout the game—to tell your own version of the story and determine the conclusion of a Tale.

In the *Cthulhu Bay* manual, you’ll find:

  • All the rules you need to play
  • A section that will teach you how to run a game session.
  • Four ready-to-play stories that will take you from the icy landscapes of Greenland in the 1930s to a mysterious, unknown planet, and from a village on the edge of Karelia in the 1600s to a monastery in the Middle Ages to investigate a brutal murder.
